Massage is an umbrella term, covering an assortment of modalities, that when applied to the body, effect change in the structure and, therefore functioning of the body.
There are many different types of massage but, in reality each therapist has a number of techniques (tools) at their disposal, that they will integrate into a session. Some of these tools, are outlined for you on the ‘massage‘ page. Other tools that can be integrated into your session are ‘neurostructural integration technique’ and ‘Reiki’.
Rather than have you sort through a complicated menu of offerings, we take a detailed health history (which, for convenience can be filled in prior to your session) and, discuss your individual concerns in person, so we can tailor a treatment just for YOU. (Reading a menu, never does justice to the EXPERIENCE. We like to make it easy for you to get what you need, with confidence, so you can totally relax and enjoy your session/s).
NEUROSTRUCTURAL INTEGRATION TECHNIQUE
The creme de la creme of Bowen Therapy
Neurostructural Integration Technique is a gentle, highly effective, results driven, bodywork modality used to address musculo-skeletal pain, and dysfunction. Holistic in nature, it works through the nervous system, where initially, clients will experience a deep sense of relaxation. In this relaxed state, seemingly subtle, but dynamic changes can be effected, resulting in resolution of presenting problems, along with an increased sense of wellbeing.
Clients encounter a renewed relationship with their body. Substantial changes can take place in a single session however, a series of between 3 – 6 sessions is generally recommended. Each session would build on the previous one. Another common occurrence for clients, is the recognition that other issues that have been niggling in the background are often resolved in the process.
